How to get started with the project
From Shadowrun: Awakened
So you want to help Shadowrun Awakened? Here is a list of things for you to do.
Getting started
- Read the Members Charter for Shadowrun: Awakened. This states the goals of the project
- Read the FAQ. It will knock out some early questions you may have about the project.
- Take a look at how you can help by looking at our volunteer page.
- Watch the google video on surviving poisonous people; make sure you are not the person who will poison the project.
- Register on our Forums
- Start a new topic in the Volunteer section of the forums to introduce yourself
- Join the Sourceforge Mailing list
- If you are looking to make a contribution in software, follow the tutorial on How to get started in game engine.
- Read any related materials of the area your interested in. What to help program? Read any related programming texts in the development section. What to help with Assets? 2d Art, 3d Models, music, etc... Read those texts.
From here, you should look over this wiki and the forums to get familiar with the concepts we have built so far and the concepts we continue to build.
Now that you are started, you must commence with participating in the project:
- Become a focused, reliable, and dedicated member of the project
If you become a reliable contributor, you will be added to the Sourceforge developer list. You will need a valid Sourceforge ID to be listed, but even non-coders can be put into the list.
