Movement

Movement covers ways the character can get around while on foot.

Game Rules Description

  • climb - Scaling a vertical or near-vertical surface using strength+climbing
  • crawl - Moving along the ground in a stealthy manner using infiltration+agility
  • crouch - Going into a mobile kneel
  • jump - Spring up in the air with one's legs using agility + gymnastics
  • prone - Lying on one's stomach
  • run - Long and fast strides using strength + running.
  • sneak (slow crouched walk) - A deliberate and quiet way of walking using infiltration+agility
  • walk - Normal movement

Technical Implementation

The most important point about movement is realize that the position of the model, the position of its collider, and the model's animation all play a role in creating the fantasy that the character is actually moving over the surface with a moving humanoid shape.
