Races

From Shadowrun: Awakened

Characters in Shadowrun Awakened can be more than human, not just by enhancing their bodies with cyberware, but also by being a different species of humanoid.

Game Rules Description

During Character Generation, players will be able to select from the list of classic Shadowrun metahuman species:

• Human - You, me, everybody. Humans are still the most common type of race in Shadowrun.
• Elf - Pointy-ears, long lives, good looks, grace, and agility mark the most renowned of non-human races.
• Dwarf - Short, stout, and bearded. They're tougher, stronger, and more willful than regular humans.
• Ork - Strong, tough, but hard on the eyes. They aren't as extreme as Trolls, but definitely not loved.
• Troll - The strongest and toughest of all races, along with the ugliest.

NPCs in the game will also be alternate races.

Technical Implementation

NPCs will receive statistics bonuses and penalties just as in SR4. Racism will be addressed in the Attitude mechanic.
