Time

Time is an important commodity in the game world and it has many impacts on SRA.
Game Rules Descriptions
We will start with a 6 hour day. We will pay attention to this through testing and development and reevaluate during Beta. One particularly interesting idea is creating an offset in the day/night cycle versus real-time by using an odd value of hours such as 5.
Missions will be targeted to vary in duration from 30 minutes to 4 hours with a breakdown about like this:

Again, during and after Beta, we will evaluate gameplay habits of the community and may design future missions with a different distribution in mind.
There is the idea of a "To be continued..." mission that would allow players to quest across multiple sessions. This would require some "Safe haven" for the characters to sleep between chapters of the mission. This would be a 2.0 feature at the earliest.
Technical Implementation
The accelerated rate of time must be easily changed in the simulation as we expect to fine tune it in the future (IE 1 value in 1 file).
